For the first time ever, we are exploring a world made not of rock or ice, but of metal and it’s going to take us 7 years to get there. I got inspiration from the Psyche mission timeline to create a clock that mimics the journey to the asteroid. When they leave earth it’s light, but when they get closer to their destination they will be in the dark and unknown. I wanted to convey the feeling as if we were taking the journey ourselves to this unexplored world. The galaxy on the face of the clock is the galaxy in which Psyche resides. Three…Two…One…Blast off!
